Psychological Rater

Irvine Clinical Research, a provider of clinical research care and education to the Orange County community since 1978, is seeking applicants for a Psychological Rater.

Job Requirements

  1. Have either a master’s degree in mental health counseling or psychology, a PhD in a psychology-related field, or a PsyD. Licensure (such as MFT or LCSW) is not required
  2. A command of professional spoken and written English.
  3. Available to work at least 30 hours a week, between 9a-4p Monday-Thursday and 9a-12p on Friday, at our office in the Alzheimer’s Orange County building in Irvine, CA.

Psychological raters work with a team of physicians, psychologists, and research coordinators to assess patients using clinical efficacy scales. Study participants are generally people of all ages, including healthy individuals, persons suffering from depression, and persons with memory care concerns.

No experience or licensure are required to apply. All employees are closely supervised by physician investigators who work full-time on-site.

This is an employment opportunity and not a fee for service position, paid hourly. Occasional paid travel to conferences and investigator meeting is available to candidates who prefer it.

Higher salary is negotiable with candidates who have experience with Psychometrician experience in pharmaceutical clinical trials.

Sub-Investigator (PA-C or NP)

Are you a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) interested in a leadership role within clinical research? You will work with our team of principal investigators and research coordinators to manage and execute clinical trials in general medicine, rheumatology, and psychiatry.

Job Duties

  1. Conduct medical procedures (e.g. physical exams, medical history, reviewing labs, reading EKGs) in accordance with protocol, GCP, and applicable regulations
  2. Ensure the informed consent process is appropriately implemented
  3. Make follow-up clinical decisions under the supervision of physician principal investigators
  4. Assess patient response to therapy and evaluate patient adverse events
  5. Cultivate superb professional relationships with patients

Job Requirements

  1. Valid PA-C or NP license in the State of California
  2. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks with precision
  3. A command of professional spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Two years of experience in industry clinical research, or any experience as a clinical investigator
  2. Any clinical research certification (e.g. CCRC from ACRP or CCRP from SoCRA)

Research Assistant
